pacifier

We were putting all three girls in their PJ's tonight. The typical scene: the twins running around, smelling yummy from their baths and the baby lying on the floor happily sucking her toes and intently watching the twins as if she may miss something if she looks away. Eden found a pacifier on the rug, stood up and announced "Evia's". She than went to the baby and after fumbling for a few seconds to get the pacifier in the baby's mouth correctly, she jumped up with her arms over her head and shouted triumphantly, "YEAH!"

Stellan

I have been recently reading a blog called "My Charming Kids".

It is fabulous--in so many ways--but right now, there is a little boy named Stellan that my heart goes out to and is in desperate need of prayer.

Please pray for baby Stellan.

I am having trouble attaching the link, so here is the web address

seperation

Tonight my little Evia is sleeping in her own room for the first time! Talk about withdrawals. Of course, she will be sleeping sound and I won't--- worrying about her being so far away. Today she did pretty good gumming her cereal (even more separation from mommy), or at least smearing it all over her face, clothes, hands and bumbo. Can I say, once again, that they grow up too fast.

The twins are cracking me up lately with their new play games. This morning at breakfast, Eden had the wrong end of the fork in her mouth and was making "razzing" sounds, Elle followed along and they were laughing at each other. This went on for 5 minutes-with the baby being entertained the whole time.

..........

--just posting some little precious moments I caught on camera of my little girls........the baby is SO interested in the twins. She is constantly entertained by them and is always smiling and trying to get their attention. When she does, there is always laughter and I think the twins are finally picking up the fact that this little being that invaded their lives could potentially be some fun too!

being a mommy of twins........

Some days seem endless,
my patience grows thin.
Why was I chosen
to be a mother of twins?
The answer comes clear
at the end of the day......
as I tuck them in bed
for myself I say.
There's two to kiss.....
There's two to hug....
and best of all,
There's two to love!

-anonymous

The best part-I now have THREE to kiss at the end of the day.

I am loving the new words these twinnies are saying. I dropped a kitchen towel today on the floor and Eden said, "Uh-Oh, What happened?"

I bet they've heard me say that a million times-ha!

At 1:38 a.m. (yes, this was when I looked at the clock-ugh) two nights ago, I heard quite a bit of talking from the twin's room. I took some water with me and went to check on them. As I opened the door, Eden says "Awake". I said, "Eden, it's night time now and it's time to go to sleep." She laughs and than repeats, "Asleep... Awake..... Up ..... Down.....", etc... They are really into opposites right now. Eden threw some grapes on the floor today and I said, "Eden, that makes mommy sad when you throw food". She looked so sad, like she was going to cry, and than she got a huge smile on her face and said "Happy!"

little singers

The girls are singing all the time-humming bits and pieces of songs and mish-mashing them all together, but the cutest so far....................Last night, we were going to Sam's Club to buy diapers. Hold your breath-$300.00 worth of diapers and wipes. Blaine told the girls, this was the last diaper run, when these run out, they better be potty trained, ha! So I looked back at them in their car seats, they were holding hands and singing in unison together the ABC's. It was just too adorable!

Evia-4 months

Evia will be 5 months next Monday-and she is growing too fast. She l-0-v-e-s the exersaucer and bouncer and laughs/squeals/smiles all the time. I think she sees the twins running and wants to join in already. She is losing her hair and the stubble growing in is blonde-so maybe she will be a little blondie (I was secretly hoping to see red-how fun would that have been!) And the rolls-her doughy little rolls of fat amaze me. I was searching through the twins' boxes of 12 month clothing today to find things that fit her-she is just soo big! So after her bath today-I thought I had better get the camera out and have some fun.

the blogosphere

So, my corner of the blogosphere has been quiet lately. There isn't much time for blogging these days. I went back to work on Feb. 19th-ugh-but I am so blessed to just be working two, 10 hour days/week. I am praying to keep this schedule-I don't think I could handle much more. I am the luckiest person alive to have my mom watch the girls-they are SO lucky too. I think grandma's are born with extra patience and special powers---ha!

Ok-so my previous post discussed the rationale of why we buy our kids toys when they play with everything else....well, I have decided to quit dressing my kids and combing their hair too! This morning, I was taking the girls to the SKIP program. By the time we got there, the twins had kicked off all their shoes and pulled off their socks. They had pulled out their hairbows, (which they sucked and chewed on them so when I picked them up they were all wet and slobbery) and messed up their cute little pigtails. Then, I find out that there was no SKIP program today. Major bummer. I ended up taking them to McD's playland where they had an absolute blast.

My little Evia is now playing in an exersaucer. I wish she wouldn't grow up so darn fast. She is even transferring objects from one hand to the other. I am going to have to buy a cow to assist me in feeding this child-she is on an eating marathon lately!!!
